Puppy fun
I’d truly forgotten that having a puppy in the house is much like having a toddler around. They follow you everwhere, constantly getting under your feet (though thankfully children don’t have the habit of trying to bite your feet as you’re walking) chasing you into the shower and generally making your life an interesting experience.
Take this morning for example:
After constantly having to push her out of my shower I then tried to hang some clothes on the line. This was fun - not.
Everytime I’d catch her to get my pegs back she’d dart in behind me and steal a sock or other item out of the basket. When she grew tired of that (and had realised that I’d put the peg bucket inside the clothes basket) she tried to drag the whole basket away.
A little later I heard a yell from one of my kids telling me that she had hold of her shorts (while she was wearing them) and wouldn’t let go - that ended in trears - from the kid not the dog.
All in all it’s been an interesting day as puppy has now obviously settled in well and is happily making herself at home. Of course the upside is that my kids are quickly learning to pick up after themselves, anything left laying around has become fair game as far as chewing is concerned.
