Key to Successfully Training Your Rabbit
he first step towards training a rabbit successfully is to build its trust. This is what this article will focus on: How to gain your rabbits trust and in return, have a great pet that obeys you.
Rabbits are at the bottom of the food chain. Everything eats them…basically. Because of this, rabbits are very cautious of everything. This is what keeps them alive and so plentiful in the wild. When you think of rabbits, they have two primary goals in life: to survive and to breed.
In order to train a rabbit successfully you must first let it feel comfortable around you. You must start winning your bunnies trust as soon as possible. If you can get your rabbit as a baby, that’s
best.
The easiest way to build trust is to spend 20 minutes a day with your rabbit. Sit on the floor with your rabbit and let it get used to you. Show your rabbit your hands so it gets used to them.
Give your rabbit treats and make him approach you. When your rabbit starts to put its paws on you and show relaxed body language, you will know you’re starting to build trust.
Another benefit to being around your rabbit for 20 minutes a day is for protection. Rabbits are very prone to getting diseases and sicknesses. When you are with your rabbit, this is the best time to
check for problems.
You should be out on the look for parasites. They will be noticed as dark round protrusions. Also look for lumps and sores.
