Going on holiday,
but don't want to take an extra suitcase to carry your novels?
Want a guide on each country you're visiting but don't have room for them all? Is your book too big to fit in you handbag or briefcase, but you want to read on the train, waiting for the bus or while you have a bit of time to spare at work? Then a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) may be the answer to all your problems. A quick search on the internet and you'll find there are virtually millions of ebooks covering every genre and topic you can think of (so much so that Google now has a separate book search to find downloads), from there it's just a matter of downloading them to your PDA to read whenever you want.
From the cheapest to most expensive PDA you'll quickly discover that you can store a large amount of novels, guides, work documents and other items all in one place. Of course PDA's do provide other tools as well - diaries, notepads, calculators, games, internet and a host of others, but for me (and no doubt all those others that love reading) the ability to carry a quantity of novels in the palm of your hand has to be the biggest bonus. If you do decide a PDA is what you want remember that the most expensive doesn't always mean the best. If you only want it to store your novels then you don't necessarily need all the other bells and whistles that may come with some of the dearer versions. Shop around; you'll find just what you need without too many problems at all. |
